Every woman has a different body shape that suits a particular style of panties best. And each style of panties fits slightly differently in terms of sizing. Always wash the Pavone underwear before wearing it. Bamboo underwear may release some residue during the first wash. By following the instructions below, your Pavone underwear will stay beautiful for longer.

If possible, hand wash the bamboo women's briefs and men's boxers from Pavone. First, make a lukewarm soapy solution and repeatedly dip the lingerie in it, letting the bamboo briefs soak for 15 minutes before washing by hand. Rinse with lukewarm clean water until all soap residue is gone. Tip: Use a drop of Soak for hand washing, soak for 15 minutes, and the briefs will be completely clean again. Besides being very gentle on your lingerie, it is also biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

Prefer to use the washing machine? That’s possible. Set the machine to a low spin speed (800 rpm). Set the machine to 40°C or the ‘delicate wash’ program. Use a mild liquid detergent for delicate fabrics. Never use bleach, fabric softener, or wool detergent. Use natural vinegar instead of fabric softener; this product inhibits bacteria, prevents odors and skin irritation, keeps colors vibrant, and removes stains.

We often get asked if the underwear can be washed at 60°C. The underwear is strong in material and can handle this wash program. We recommend lowering the spin speed to 800 rpm and not putting the underwear in the dryer after washing. The underwear dries by hanging it up; due to the absorbent crotch, it needs more time to dry on the line.

Women and men with LS often experience grease stains on their underwear from using ointments. We advise soaking the underwear overnight in a soapy solution with plenty of soda crystals. After soaking overnight, it can go back in the washing machine and will come out looking like new.

The slips have been tested up to 50 milliliters, drop by drop. This is comparable to a full shot glass.

For women with Lichen Sclerosus in the groin area or very sensitive skin, we have designed the Taille and Midi Comfort Sensitive. This model features extra soft edges and the crotch is made slightly longer at the front and back.

Cycling with Lichen Sclerosus is often painful. That’s why we designed the Bikeshort for women with lichen sclerosus. In this model, the bamboo crotch extends widthwise over the thighs and lengthwise. This means there are no edges in the groin area, which helps relieve discomfort while cycling. It is not intended to wear additional underwear under the cycling shorts. The 3-layer protection against ointments is already integrated into the 3-layer protection.

Pavone Lingerie manages the design of its underwear in-house and it is extensively tested by women with Lichen Sclerosus. Women with Lichen Sclerosus appreciate the following models the most: Maxi Giorgia, Midi Aurora, Taille Comfort, Bikeshort Sienna, Midi Comfort, and Basic Giulia.

All panties from Pavone are made from 95% pure bamboo viscose. The bamboo we use is produced without chemical processing, and we have the proper certifications for this; read more about our bamboo here.

The lace cannot (yet) be made from bamboo. We hope to be able to offer our panties made from 100% bamboo in the future. Until then, our panties are made from 95% bamboo viscose and 5% elastane, and the lace is made from organic cotton.

All Pavone packages are shipped in a (mailbox-accessible) packaging.
