A soft fabric grows from a bamboo stalk. Bamboo viscose feels light, supple and exceptionally soft on the skin, and is known for its breathable and moisture-regulating properties. Our bamboo fabric is made of 95% of the purest, highest-quality bamboo fibres, and bamboo is known for its softness, breathability and skin-friendly qualities.

A soft feeling of confidence
In the underwear there is a subtly developed 3-layer protection. It consists of a soft bamboo top layer that feels lovely on the skin, an absorbent middle layer that helps retain moisture and a thin protective layer that keeps everything naturally in balance. It is designed to offer extra confidence without being visible or affecting how it feels to wear.

Bamboo versus cotton
The biggest difference between bamboo underwear and cotton underwear lies in softness and how it feels to wear. Compared with cotton, bamboo viscose feels softer, lighter and more supple on the skin.
Bamboo viscose is made from fibres of the bamboo plant. After processing, it becomes a soft, smooth fabric that shapes beautifully to the body and therefore feels comfortable throughout the day.
Cotton is a natural fibre known for its sturdiness and breathability: strong and reliable. Cotton generally feels a little firmer and less supple than bamboo viscose, especially when worn for a long time.

Responsibly made
Unfortunately, fully 100% sustainable underwear does not exist. Making lingerie always has some impact on the environment. With that in mind, Pavone strives to make the most responsible choices possible: high-quality materials, careful production and attention to people and the planet.
Bamboo contains cellulose fibres that have to be extracted from the stalk. This can be done in two ways: mechanically or chemically. Pavone chooses bamboo viscose produced through a controlled chemical process, because it creates the soft, refined fibre structure our lingerie needs. Chemicals are always used in this process, so it is essential that it is done responsibly: we monitor our suppliers closely and act immediately if they do not meet our standards.
