How to care for your Pavone lingerie

It's wonderful that you want to care for your Pavone lingerie with attention. By washing carefully, your underwear will not only stay beautiful longer but also retain its softness, fit, and luxurious appearance.

We recommend washing Pavone lingerie before first use. Bamboo is a natural material that may release some residue during the first wash. This is completely normal and disappears after the initial washes.

For the best care, we recommend using Soak, a mild and modern detergent specially developed for delicate fabrics. Soak is available in the Pavone webshop. The formula consists of plant-based, biodegradable ingredients and is free from phosphates, sulfates, and dyes. A conscious choice for both your lingerie and your skin.

Soak is suitable for both hand washing and machine washing. Hand washing is not necessary but can be an extra gentle way to care for your lingerie.

If you choose hand washing, soak the underwear for about 15 minutes in lukewarm water with a small amount of Soak. Then gently squeeze it out. Rinsing is not necessary. The mild, no-rinse formula helps protect the fibers and maintain the quality of your lingerie.

If you prefer to use the washing machine, select a delicate cycle at a maximum of 40°C and a low spin speed (up to 800 rpm). Soak is also perfectly suitable for this, so convenience and care go hand in hand.

Soak is available at Pavone Lingerie in a carefully developed variant: Scentless. Scentless is completely fragrance-free and specially developed for sensitive skin, including women with vulvar skin conditions. This variant cleans gently without irritation and offers optimal comfort for daily use. The absence of fragrances makes it a conscious and safe choice for both your lingerie and your skin.

Avoid using bleach or fabric softener. As a gentle alternative to fabric softener, you can use natural vinegar: it helps prevent odors, protects colors, and is gentle on the skin and your washing machine.

Although the material can withstand washing at 60°C, we advise doing this only when truly necessary and always at a low spin speed. Then let your lingerie air dry. Due to the absorbent gusset, it may take a little longer to dry completely.

Some women may notice grease stains on their underwear, for example from using ointments. In that case, you can soak the underwear overnight in a solution with soda crystals. After that, it can be washed in the machine as usual and will come out fresh and well cared for.
