My journey with Pavone did not begin with a business plan, but with an endless search for lingerie that truly felt good to wear. Lingerie that was beautiful without being uncomfortable. Lingerie that was made for real bodies, real days, and real women.
After years of searching and being disappointed time and time again, I came to a simple realization: if it doesn’t exist, I will create it myself.
But behind that search was something much deeper.
I am one of the many women who have experienced sexual violence. In the years that followed, my relationship with my body changed profoundly. Comfort was no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Softness, space to breathe, and a feeling of safety became essential. Beautiful lingerie made from synthetic materials became unbearable, not only emotionally, but physically as well.
That experience is at the very heart of Pavone.
When I launched Pavone in 2019, I knew one thing for certain: lingerie should never work against you. It should support you, protect you, and respect you.
That is why Pavone underwear is made from the finest bamboo. Not because it is a trend, but because it is exceptionally soft, breathable, and gentle on the skin. Because it moves with your body instead of restricting it. Because lingerie can also be a form of care.
What started as a personal necessity grew into a brand. And now, as we approach our seventh year, it still feels surreal to say those words.
Above all, I feel gratitude. Deep and genuine gratitude.

Pavone has grown in the Netherlands, where my roots are. But it remains incredibly special to see how the brand has found its way to women in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Italy, France, and even the United States and Australia.
The thought that something which started from such a personal need is now reaching women all over the world fills me with immense pride and humility.
What makes Pavone so special to me is that it has always been about more than lingerie. It is about feeling comfortable in your own body. About experiencing comfort without compromising on beauty. About softness and strength existing side by side.
And above all, it is about listening. Listening to what women truly need.
Your stories, feedback, and honesty have shaped Pavone into what it is today. Every design is created with care, with attention to detail, fit, and wellbeing.
Seven years of entrepreneurship also means challenges. Doubt. Difficult decisions. Moments when I questioned whether I was following the right path.
But time and time again, there was reassurance in a message, an order, or a woman who wrote:

That is why Pavone exists.
