MY FAVOURITE PUB GOING DOWN

In 2012, my beautiful son Bear came into the world. And what a Bear it was, 10 pounds clean off the hook. The delivery of this miracle did not go without a hitch. He turned out to be a stargazer and because I wanted to give birth at home, both my midwife and I had to work hard to come out of this press situation unscathed. Robbie Williams' quote about his childbirth experience with his wife; “It was like my favourite pub going down” was how I viewed my pub at that moment from a mirror between my legs. Sitting without a swimsuit as a pillow was to cry, let alone holding up my pee in a traffic jam. The times I had to pee between two doors, yes in a traffic jam, was pure necessity. Through this way, a thank you to all the honking truck drivers.

Six months later I had my pub under better control, losing urine is not sexy and as it turned out... quite normal after all these hormonal changes and a heavy delivery. I found it particularly striking how difficult women find it to talk about urine loss. Why doesn't anyone say what it's really like? Because there are things that would have helped if I had known. For example, you read that giving birth isn't nothing. No, I think then, my work as an entrepreneur is not nothing either, I can handle that. But what turns out? After giving birth you are completely demolished, if only someone had told me that.

So what do you do as a fashion designer? You dream, design and create the most comfy and sexy women's briefs with a practical edge. The search for right materials, suppliers and designs, is an adventure of years. The decisive factor was the sudden death of my mother. It was then or never. And I chose to have my first designs produced and launch my own brand. With this choice, I make a lot of women happy every day and I hope eventually to be able to permanently delight all women around the world with all Pavone designs.

Love,
